We don't have anyproblems with Apache on our W2000 machines.
Have you checked for errors in your httpd.conf file? (from the Command window in the Apache directory run: apache -t) |

Also, try running Apache from a command prompt to view errors. I am running Apache 1.3.14 and Tomcat 3.2 on Win2000 Pro, both as services, no issues. When running the latest Apache from the command prompt and it has trouble - it pauses for 30 sec or so and counts down until you read the message or it times out!

wheneve i install apache on win2k, i have to edit the httpd.conf before it works.
This is because the ServerName is commented out for some reason. That could be your problem, just write ServerName localhost |
