Have you tried to start Apache from the command line (NOT as a service). If you have any errord in your .conf files they will show up here (could also just run with -t or -T)

Thanks Sorem, I did what u said and it works.
    --------------------
(for those facing the same problem):
    - go to the folder where apache.exe is, from the command prompt and run it.
if there is any error in the httpd.conf file it will be displayed
my problem was with the servername I uncommented it and changed the servername to localhost
    - I ran it agian and every thing is ok leave the command prompt (don't close it)
    - go to your browser and enter localhost in the address bar. If this doesn't work enter 127.0.0.1
    - apache's default page will appear.
    Thats all.
    Thanks again Soren.
