general - Apache2 with php-cgi not working

hey all,

I am trying to make apache2 work with php-cgi because I am trying to exploit the php security flaw.
I am using an ubuntu 8.04 image. For some reason I can't get it to work.
I followed a link (which I cannot semm to post here) explaining how to make it work.

for some reason my directory structure does not match the ones mentionned in the link and I have no idea how to make it work.


Any hints?

You can post links as long as they don't have the http:// prefix (at least).

I got this by using another website:

this one shows what I want to do but I do not succeed for some reason and I just know that it is the cgi that ain't working:

Well it doesn't look like there's anything you have to customize with the installation so... I'd say just install the Apache and "php5-cgi" packages. That should take care of everything for you.
