Hi Everybody,
First of all thanks to Steffen that I am getting Login ID and Password Window after typing URL. Now on my Apache 1.3 web server when I type Login Name and Password it gives me the Error " Authorization Fail". Login Name and encrypted Passwords are existing in the usr/local/etc/httpd/users file. I will appreciate if someone let me know the possible reasons of this error. God Bless you All Modassir mabbasi@milestone.cc |

The most common seen to this problem is that, you created your .htpasswd in Windows and uploaded it to your server in Binary format causing your .htpasswd to look like so: martin:WrU808BHQai36^M jane:iABCQFQs40E8M^M art:FAdHN3W753sSU^M If that is not the case, start here -> http://www.apacheweek.com/features/userauth and look under Using htpasswd. |
