    Changing http://127.0.0.1/index.php to http://127.0.0.1/

I already know that index.html isn't shown in the browser address bar. Is this a browser feature, or server-side? I post in here because I use apache, but I'm only guessing that it is a server feature.

This is done server side, and in Apache, it's done with the DirectoryIndex directive.

Explain your problem instead of asking how to do what you decided was the solution.

Thanks. I found it in httpd.conf. Changed index.html to index.php. So simple!
