general - Configuration

hi all

i dont know whether it is correct place to post my thread or not, i am using 8080 port for apache server, while i am accessing
http://ipaddress:8080/myproject but i want only http://ipaddress/myproject, how to configure in httpd.config to get this.

please help me out.

Use port 80. No way around it.

port 80 is using by iis.

Then stop using IIS? Or put it on 8080.

Port 80 is the default port for HTTP. It is the only one that is optional to specify. For example "http://www.google.com:80/" and "http://www.google.com/" are equivalent. If you use any other port, including 8080, you must specify it in the URL.

To have multiple web servers on the same machine, they have to be listening to different ports or different IP addresses.
