I'm trying to use "crontab -e" through Telnet but it's all new to me, and I don't quite understand what I'm doing! I'm trying to get the following line to make a script run every morning at 1am:
00 01 * * * /home/jakehere/cgi-bin/me.cgi
hoever, I don't know what to do! I'm using Windows '98 and am running Telnet at the moment and after typing "crontab -e" I was presented with "No crontab for jakehere, so creating a new one" and then I got a load of blank lines.
I typed the line I wanted in the first one, after pressing 's' (I think) but I don't know what to do know. How do I exit it etc.? I've never really used Telnet before, but want to learn. Any good sites/reources you can recommend as well?
