can anyone help? getting ready to launch a site redesign. all pages on old site going dead. need all pages on old site redirected to the new. can this be accomplished with htaccess?
old site: www.jazzkc.org (all files .htm) new site: www.jazzkc.org/index2.html (new site all .html) also getting some conflicting info regarding search engines using this method. will my old pages or site get kicked out for using redirect? rankings good now and don't want to mess this up. any suggestions? |

Your new site is not a different domain, so why not just set the DirectIndex to index2.html?
Start here -> http://www.apache.org/docs/mod/mod_dir.html#directoryindex |
