How- front page extensions

I finally got DNS, php and Mysql with working bulletin boards and hosting 2 web sites for friends on my home machine . But !
I've spent a week reading and following links but still can't figure out how to add front page extensions to my server. They like to use front page. My web server is using

Windows 2000 pro
apache 1.3 webserver

Hope someone can explain with up to date links or something to help me add front page extensions to win2000/apache.
Any good teachers out there . Most of the info out there doesn't seem to be for newbies at this stuff. Thanks

Also since I'm learning -does anyone have any suggestions on what program to use or read about to maybe later add email services to there sites? probably more problems than I need!

Anyone installed front page extensions on a win2000 machine running apache server. I Can't figure it out and need working directions if possible.
