Am running 2 servers with Apache 1.3.12 and wu-ftpd, both with what i think is identical config. However if i ftp into the 2 servers, one shows htaccess files, but one doesn't (have to use the -a command).
Any ideas why this is happening

No, I don't. Should there be an .htaccess file? Who is the user trying to create the file?
