I have added following line to httpd.conf file, at end(last line) of the file as follows.

Include "D:/Program Files/Apache Group/jakarta-tomcat/conf/tomcat-apache.conf"

when I start apache.exe, dos window opens and immediatly closes. then If I try to test apache by url "http://localhost" it does not work.

When I remove line
Include "D:/Program Files/Apache Group/jakarta-tomcat/conf/tomcat-apache.conf"
from httpd.conf file and start apache.exe it works with "http://localhost"

Can you guide me how to add line
Include "D:/Program Files/Apache Group/jakarta-tomcat/conf/tomcat-apache.conf"
in http.conf file and keep apache working.
Thanks

For debug purposes start the dos window first and then start Apache, if Apache fails it will then display an error message and the dos window won't disappear.

At least then you will be able to see why Apache failed to start.

Thanks,
I fired apache from dos prompt and it gave showed me error. It was due to wrong syntax of path in Include file. It should have been
Progra~1Apache~1jakart~1.....
Thanks.
