Launching Visio documents from a web page

I want to allow users to automatically launch their copy of Visio when they click on a Visio document on a web page. Currently, the Visio document loads onto the screen as if it were a text file (sort of like viewing a Word document in Notepad).

I've already modified conf/mime.types to recognize .VSD document types.
Also, I changed the DefaultType directive from text/plain to application/octet-stream, so that unspecified documents would be loaded as binary files.

I also confirmed that Netscape is set up to recognize Visio documents. Still no good.

Any suggestions?

Have you verified there isn't any other MIME type defined in the Netscape "helper applications" section that has the same extension as the visio documents?
