Red face

Allright, I don't know if this will work, but here goes.

I have a network setup in my house of a bunch of computers all running win 95/98. They all get Internet from a cable modem that goes through a router into the hub.

I recently got a new computer that I would like to use as a Linux machine, but I was hoping that I could have it use the same connection to the Internet. Is there any possible way to do this, maybe by just plugging this machine into the Hub? Thanks for any help possible.

Yes, just configure it like what you normally do for your windows client.

BTW, this is absolutely off topic.

Unhappy Thanks

Thanks for the help. And I know its off topic, but DevShed has always been a big help for all the issues that I've ever had, so I didn't think it would be a big deal. And Apache was the closest topic.

Talking about closest, WAP would be the one. You should post it there first.

>> How ?

1) Assign a local IP
2) Insert the default gateway or the router's IP (local one)
3) Enter the nameserver IP
