Malformed Host Header from non-local IPs - A concern?
[Thu Mar 14 20:32:16 2002] [error] [client ***.***.***.***] Client sent malformed Host header
I've gotten that error 3 times so far. They aren't from 127.0.0.1, and are from just random IPs. I don't know why they'd be doing this, and I don't know if it's Code Red or Nimda or any other type of worm, or something like that. I tried searching the forums for things, and all I saw were things where people had that problem locally. Should this be a concern, or is this something that happens regularly?

It's probably CodeRed. So check your access_log for that timestamp and see if the actual requested file is something like /default.ida.
