Minimizing Apache (win98)
Does anyone know how I can minimize the Apache server window to the system tray, so I dont have it taking up space on my taskbar constantly? Kinda similar to the way PWS does it...

hi. i am in the process of switching to Linux (the big plunge!) but for now, I also have Apache running on Win98. I searched everywhere for a way to shrink that window but found no solution. Recently, though, I found Don't Panic v4.0 at www.panicware.com. It's pretty cool and I found out that you can hide specific windows from the screen and the taskbar! Just have to remember its there. Anyways, the software is shareware so it only lasts so long unless you... ahem... purchase it...wink, wink! Well, I hope this helps as it is the only thing I could find. If you do decide to get the software and need help "purchasing it", just let me know.

TrayMin
PC Magazine has a free utility that sounds like what you're looking for:
TrayMin Disclaimer: I haven't used TrayMin though I've been very happy with other utilities from PC Mag. |
