I have tried multiple times on multiple machines to get mod_python to install on OS X 10.1 with no luck. I have Python installed fine (at least I can run scripts from the command line), but haven't gotten mod_python to install or run properly with Apache.
Anybody here gotten this to work? Anyone have any tips or ideas, even if you haven't tried to install this? Thanks in advance. |

mod_python was specifically designed to work on Linux. Even on FreeBSD, it needs to be highly patched in order to work.
>> but haven't gotten mod_python to install It's a common sense saying it doesn't work is very unhelpful. >> Anybody here gotten this to work? Instead of asking this, why don't you tell us what you have tried, and what error? >> Anyone have any tips or ideas Yes. Read the FAQ and subscribe to the mail-list at -> http://www.modpython.org/ |

Dude, while you were busy telling me I'm unhelpful, you weren't being all that helpful yourself. All you really did was play "post police." I've looked (and posted) all over the place, including modpython.org, macnn.com, and many others.
I've gotten a variety of errors. "Can't find binary" when I try to configure "with-python" or not. Sometimes I get something like "function isn't a prototype" errors. I seemingly get a different error each time I try to configure or install, thus.... I was just looking for anyone that might have gotten it to work or general tips - not necessarily specific answers to my specific problems, precisely because the problems I've been having are so varied. |

As I said, it takes COMMON SENSE to understand that it doesn't work is unhelpful. If you are not mature enough to get it, read the fscking forum FAQ. >> Can't find binary If mod_python can't locate your python binary, obviously it would refuse to build. >> I've looked (and posted) all over the place You are the question asker so you need to be patient. Cross-posting all over the places tells me you don't deserve to get help from anyone. Beside, when you can't find something, google.com is your best friend. Start here -> http://www.google.com/search?q=mod_python+OSX Just so you know, your username has just been added to my ban-list. |
