newbie - access server from windows
I am new to apache, I have installed linux on a spare machine, apache is running and I get the succesfull installation page when I type
lynx http://10.0.0.1/ which is the ip of the box, on the netwrked windows machine when I type http://10.0.0.1/ I get a DNS error page unavailable bu ftp works ftp://10.0.0.1/ I have probably missed something crucial and would appreciate any help Thank you in advance Jonathan White |

Have you defined a ServerName directive in httpd.conf? If so, what is it?

Ive defined the ServerName as linus in httpd.conf (the name of the machine) I have tried http://linus/ in IE and that doesnt work either
