    C panel 404 not exist redirect not working

    Hi I use cpanel--->Error Pages--->404

    and paste some code there (<h2>Error! Page does not exist</h2>).

    But when I go to a page that does not exist, it doesn't show that page!

    What am I doing wrong?

    Thanks

    you can do a manual error 404 using htaccess and see if that works?

    http://www.htaccessbasics.com/404-custom-error-page/

    does your host not have support desk?

    I tried
    Code:
    ErrorDocument 404 /index.php
    and I got:
    Code:
     Error 500: Internal Server Error The server encountered an unexpected condition which prevented it from fulfilling the request. The problem is on the server side, not with your browser or the address. Most probably, a certain service (e.g., Tomcat engine) is down. Please contact your webmaster.
