Instead of using the annoying hostname and ip access lists in apache, is there a way to password protect server-status? and if so where do i put the .htaccess file? =)

if i were you i would try to put it in a
<Location /server-status></Location> directive in the server config file. As this "page" is generated by a module you can't use the <Directory> directive nor the .htaccess file. |
