Peer2peer network - intranet - what's next
Hi,
I just installed apache, php on my pentium4 machine and I want to use this as an intRAnet on our windows-based peer to peer network. Apache is set up as localhost. I can see the web site on my browser but I run into a password request (i guess from win 2000) when i try from anyone elses' machine. What happens next to give access to everyone? Does the apache directory have to be shared? Is there some sort of change to our Linksys router setup to have traffic come to the localhost? Thanks in advance, Alex |

After the installation, I typed in http://localhost and the apache greeting screen appeared.
It seems it installed correctly. Alex |

Apache by default binds to all locally available IPs, including 127.0.0.1, 192.168.0.1 and 12.34.56.78.
>> I typed in http://localhost and the apache greeting screen appeared localhost, of course, is for your win2k box itself. If you want other LAN boxes to reach your Apache, type the LAN IP instead. |
