Question

I am merely a JAVA programmer and the person that used to handle this has left recently. I needed to install Apache and Jserv on a UNIX/LINUX machine. I did so and all seemed well. I do not have my oracle database on there yet. Anyhow. I was under the impression that the 'homesite'/servlets/IsItWorking should work. It does not. The index page is working, but no servlets linked are. Also, when i goto the 'homesite'/jserv/ page, the ajpv12://localhost:8007 link is not working. I am assuming this is my problem, but have no idea what it means. I know the 8007 port is what apache uses to talk to jserv-- visa versus or whatever. Also, i am getting wrapper.classpath errors. I had copied the .conf files over from the previous machine (it had same address) but still nothing. If anyone has any ideas for me to try, I would be grateful. thanks

Check the Apache web server error_log file to see if jserv started. Also make sure that apache's httpd.conf file has
the line:

Include /path/to/jserv.conf

And of course make sure that jserv.conf exists and is readable.

Have a look at the Jserve install how-to, specifically
the section of Configuration Files.

Good luck

-Carlos
