search engine friendly urls via 404 not found page
i am using search engine friendly urls via the method of 404 not found method. when they go to this page does the bot or browser know that it is coming from a 404 page? i have a link tester program and it seems to know that there is no /bleh/3.php page and it spits out an error saying that it isn't there. can i supress these warnings? so that the search bots and junk will spider my whole website?

The appropriate way to do it is to use mod_rewrite, which has been discussed million times in this forum, if you do a search.
