Selective php processing
I have recently installed a minimum installation of RedHat 6.2 on a Sparc, and then I compiled both apache 2.0.36 and php 4.2.1, which I did successfully.
When I access http://www.mysite.com/index.php I get the proper page. However, when I access http://www.mysite.com/ I get the php code for index.php... And just to make it funnier, Internet Explorer works as it should, I knly get the trouble with Netscape... Any hints? Last edited by imestre : May 15th, 2002 at 01:25 PM. |

Fixed it!
Yes sir, absurd problems require absurd answers.
I managed to fix the damn thing by physically assaulting (almost) the Netscape 6 "Reload" button about 20-30 times. |

make this change to your http conf file and it should take care of it
DirectoryIndex index.html index.html.var index.php index.php3 index.phtml |

I had done that already
I had already taken care of that (first thing I did before actually testing the server)
As I said, it was more a Netscape 6 caché problem than anything else. |
