Sender line in form mail results
I'm guessing this is the correct part of the Forum ...
Results of mailed forms from (Unix) server is placing (in general format) a line under the Subject line in the email results: Sender: <username@zeus2.powerhost.co.uk> Although the real sender is refered to in the From: field, this looks pretty ugly and confusing for the receiver. I'm assuming this is an issue connected with the Server rather than the form script (pppfile version of formail). Any suggestions as to how to get rid of it or add something to the script to overwrite it? Also, can the date that appears in the emailed results be configured from the script or is it a Server thing, since this is not showing true? thanks, Robert |

That's only for formmail. The From header is just the envelope sender (it can be anything the sender wants). Do a search on Return-Path header to find out more. As far as the date, yes, it's a server thing but you can modify formmail.pl to fake the date if you want. |
