sendmail

Ok, it might be that I don't exactly know what I'm talking about, but please try to understand me ;-)

So, I have an Apache server, an I want to setup sendmail function for it. (The one I can use to send e-mails with a perl script). How do I do it, and where do I get "sendmail" from?

what?

Well, i don't think you have to actually setup sendmail with Apache. If you use cgi and you use the sendmail function and give it the path to sendmail on your computer, it should work just fine. No setup for sendmail is needed in the httpd.conf.

hmmm... right, figured out that much myself (my question probably wasn't formulated very well). Well, anyway, I don't have sendmail on my computer (or at least didn't find it) so where can I get it from?

I'm using windows 98 *sigh* (for a specific reason)

LOL, simply with windows find and with the keyword "sendmail"
..Which probably isn't the right keyword to search with, but I don't have a clue what it could be named

linux?

I think you are using the wrong OS for sendmail, sendmail is built with linux, not windows. Unless you are asking something else?

Ah, I see... so it's impossible to get sendmail for win98.
So, is there anything that is available for windows, and that would replace sendmail?
