I know somehow you can do this:
It is recommended that you protect the directory in which you installed phpMyAdmin (unless it's on a closed intranet), for example with HTTP-AUTH (in a .htaccess-file). Can someone give me a real world example so i can set a username of "paul" and password of "pass"? Thanks for your help. |

and check out DiPesa's example. Then in your .htpasswd, put "paul:.5ZCp5QR2o0uU" without quotes. You also need to set the file pointer to the next line (like pressing ENTER) |
