I want to set up a web server from scratch, I can do the hardware and some of the software, but what I need is a complete tutorial explaining how to set it all up, and make it secure. I'd need to know how to install:

A telnet server
A POP server
An SMTP server
An FTP server

and also set it up so that it is secure. I will have it connected to a T3 line at my office.

Does anyone know of a tutorial/book on the internet that will tell me how to set this all up?

Thanks in advance,

well, for the services you wanted, it seems that a simple linux install could take care of all of those needs. as far as tutorials use www.apache.org

for SSL, this site has a decent tutorial: http://www.devshed.com/Server_Side/...less/page8.html

also, I would suggest using SSH instead of telnet. it is more secure and pretty easy to set up.
