Using SSL
I am new to ecommerce and getting ready to install my SSL cert and begin testing transactions.
My first question is how do I tell the server which forms should be encrypted? My first thought is that you just call the form via "https://my-url/myform.php" Second anyone have suggestions on a good book to learn more on how eccomerce works and how to keep things secure? Thanks, root |

>> how do I tell the server which forms should be encrypted?
You don't tell the server about that, for that you ask yourself when should https://www.domain.com be used, because it's server-wide, either have SSL for the entire site or no SSL anywhere. It's based on the FQDN, not a specific URI path. >> anyone have suggestions on a good book Why don't you ask Mr. Google? Click here to ask him directly and you will get a reply from him immediately. If you know what to ask, he will always give the right answer. |
