    Apache Virtual Host Help

    I have a small network issue with an Apache web server running RHEL 5.7 (final) 64-bit. The server I.P. itself wont be hosting out any websites but rather I've configured the httpd.conf file to include a vhost file for two sites:

    web.server.localhost = 192.168.2.100

    www.example1.tld = 192.168.3.100
    www.example2.tld = 192.168.3.101

    I can ping & SSH into the server fine however I can't ping the virtual hosts. How do I get Apache to use those IP's assigned to httpd.conf configuration file? I feel dumb just expecting them to respond to ping since there are no adapters physically assigned these addresses but not sure what I'm missing. The httpd.conf file on the host should enable the I.P. addresses specified in vhost.conf, no?

    So you have a website which you want to be accessed from the network and one from the internet?

    The www domains should be added into a DNS server.

    Can you post the virtual hosts config?

    A VirtualHost usually gives the website located at DocumentRoot when you access the address from the ServerName.
