Anyone know what this RewriteCond warning is supposed to mean?

    PHP Code:
[Sun Jan 06 14:03:13 2013] [warnRewriteCondNoCase option for non-regex pattern '-f' is not supported and will be ignored
One of the users of my script posted this from her error_log, I was shocked since I never encountered anything like that before. Nor do I have a tiny bit of clue how to fix it. Is it because her host has some weird configurations on apache server? Is there a way to resolve the problem without asking her host to deal with it?

It means the [NC] flag has been added to something like this:
    Code:
    RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} -f
but it has no effect in a file test context.

Explain your problem instead of asking how to do what you decided was the solution.
