Ok firstly:

1. Set up your ODBC connection within the ODBC Admin module (found in control panel).
2. Ensure you have bought a good version of visual studio.NET. Basic/standard edition wont allow you to connect using odbc. (the bastards!)
3. Connect up via the standard server explorer window (found on left hand side of visual studio as per the usual way.
4. Test to make sure Bill Gates n co aint done something naughty...
5. Check again..just in case *evil shifty looks*
6. Drag n drop connection onto your page, and voila! You get...

An error message saying you have an invalid copy of visual studio?! ;-)

(in a perfect world it should all work fine, but i bet you a virtual dollar it'll screw up somewhere due to crap installed by MS)
