ASP on MacOSX
Dreamweaver documentation states:
"Macintosh users can use a web hosting service with an ASP plan or install IIS or PWS on a remote computer." I'm new to OSX, but have done some web stuff with dreamweaver/php/mysql. I'm not familiar with IIS and PWS. I may have it installed already, since I can test my php pages... will that be right? If not, from where could I download them for Mac? __________ marcello |

As the documentation states, you install IIS (don't bother with PWS, its a cut version of IIS) on a remote computer (PC), not on your mac. PHP and ASP aren't the same, so testing PHP on your computer doesn't mean you can do the same with ASP. You'll need to either get a web host that supports ASP, and test your pages from that host, or set up a PC with IIS and use it as a server.
However, there are some third party programs that implement asp with java, so it would work on a Mac, though I have no experience using them. http://www.stryon.com/products.asp is one such vendor, if you wanted to go that route.
