CDONTS Alternative?
I would like to set up an ASP page that sends an e-mail, but the server I'm working on doesn't have CDONTS installed for security reasons. I don't have any control over the server. Are there any alternatives to using CDONTS that will work or a better option? Thanks in advance for any help!

ASPMail or a CGI script are the only other options that I know of. Typically a host will have either CDONTS or ASPMail installed.

Will the server need to have anything installed (MS Server) to use ASPMail or CGI? I'm assuming that there will need to be something installed, but am not sure. Thanks.

there's CDOSYS which is supposed to be used over CDONTS on servers running anything newer than NT4.

for other asp mail components check out www.aspdll.com
