Help reqd on e-mailing and adding to database

Hey there,

I'm developing a faq page for my company. Now what i want is to insert the values into a mdb and send a mail to use. The design of mdb is that the table as an autonumder so whenever i insert values it would generate a number. I want to get that number after querying to mdb and show that to user saying the identification no. Also a mail would sent to me to inform that a question has been submitted along with details entered into mdb. How can i achieve 2 events simultaneously?. Please help.
