How can I perform an action after a file has been downloaded?

How can I perform an action after a file has been downloaded?

Is there any way that I can for example, send an email After a file has been downloaded? Currently, it is setup so when they click to download a file...it sends an email...I am trying to figure out a way to have the email sent only have the download has completed

You're not going to be able to detect that the file has finished downloading unless you use a custom program that manages the download and then tells your webserver that the download has been finished.
