Index Server reading dynamic <title> tags

I know very little about using index server to search a website but we have recently moved a site from being .htm to .asp. On the new site the <title> tags are populated dynamically, but this has lead to the <title> tag content being dropped. I believe this is because index server is reading the raw ASP page as opposed to the outputted ASP page.
Does anybody know anything about this and can guide us?
I read one solution where each .asp page is read (xmlhttp) and rendered (filesystemobject) into .htm so that it can be picked up by the index server.
    Thanks in advance

Index server runs on the web server and indexes files that are physically on the server, so it can't index something that isn't there.

Put the title tag back in your asp files would be my recommendation.
