pdf search with asp tools
ok so i have a way to get all the pdf files listed on my server, but now comes the real challenge: finding text within the files without, that's right without opening them in the browser. anyone heard of or know a way that you can have the server look through the pdfs? perhaps an asp script since i have this stuff on the asp server and it needs to be web searchable. fun stuff huh? word to your mother

ok the file names aren't the problem, i need the content i.e. text from the pdf files, not the names. any ideas?

so even if the file is encoded like a pdf is? it contains text but isn't txt based, if you know what i mean.
