physical or Virtual database location?
Using ASP I have ben using physical locations for database
strDatabaseLocation = "C:\databases\NWIND.mdb" dcbCnn.ConnectionStrin = " ... ; strDataBaseLocation" I am moving to a remote machine and would like to know if I can use a virtual location such as: strDatabaseLocation = "http://www.learn.com/webDB/databases/NWIND.mdb" dcbCnn.ConnectionStrin = " ... ; strDataBaseLocation" ![]() |

You can't us a URL as the location in an ADO connection string.
Try using the Server.MapPath() command to convert the url location to a physical location strDBLocation = Server.MapPath("/myfolder/mydatabase.mdb") |
