Saving an attachment file and file name

I have a basic classified as form where people can enter their name, title, message, and include an attachment.

I have it working so that it will save the name, title, and message into my database. However, I don't know the code for the attachment.

What I'd like to have happen is this:

When they click save, the path name that was entered is saved as the Internal_Name and the actual attachment itself is placed into a file called ClassFiles. They are connected through the use of a class_ID number.

ANY help would be appreciated!!

What are you using to allow people to upload the file ???

Are you using your own component *OR* are you using a third party component such as SA FileUp(for example)?

If you're using a third party component then read the documentation on how to achieve this I'm sure they have.

Oh and...

What do you mean by "the actual attachment itself is placed into a file called ClassFiles"
Do you mean the actual file is placed inside a folder on the server?

Anyway, like I said, check the docs or ask the people that created the component for more info

Hope this helps!
Sincerely

Vlince
