    Server.MapPath() error 'ASP 0174: 80004005'

    I have the following error:

    Server.MapPath() error 'ASP 0174 : 80004005'

    Invalid Path Character(s)

    /upload_documents_form.asp, line 26

    An invalid '/' or '\' was found in the Path parameter for the MapPath method

    My asp code is like below:

    fName = ""
    Set fs = Server.CreateObject("Scripting.FileSystemObject")
    folderPath = "doc/" & RanCode
    folderAbsPath_Doc = Server.MapPath(folderPath & "/doc") ///
    /// This line is error line 26

    Please, can anyone give me any idea or advice how to solve
    this error.

    Thanks in advanced.

    When you're dealing with paths using the filesystem object you need to use windows backslash. Forward slash in a path isn't valid in the windows filesystem.
