Strip out request string before posting

I have a form on my website that users fill out, and one of the forms is for a users website address. If someone types in Http://www.mywebsiteaddress.com, how do i strip out the "Http://" part before submitting it to my database?

    Thanks.

somewhere in the asp code that processes the form submission you could use a regular expression match or some other string manipulation code to remove the http part of a url
