using asp.net to connect to MS SQL
I have MS SQL server 2000 setup on localhost, with system administrator username and password.
Ive been given some asp.net code by a 3rd party, i think it has C# sharp backend but that bit im not entirely sure.
Anyway, the asp scripts contain a Web-Config file of some sort, in which there is a line which allows you to enter the database connection parameters.
Im certain i've entered those correctly,
my system admin username
and system admin password and told it that my server is on localhost and the port is correct.
But i cant run the script cos its got problems accessing the database.
And i cant contact the 3rd party who sent me the code cos they're impossible to get hold of.
Does anyone have any suggestions please ? im really rather stuck here. it should be a really simple step and im stuck
