Apache and MySQL bomb out?? :(
I have the phpdev kit up and running on my win XP box (i know its not the best but im just experimenting) I also have vbulletin running on it aswell, all is fine for a while but then all of a sudden apache and my sql bomb out and crash coming up with the usual error in xp - asking if I want to report to microsoft, i click no and try and restart both of them.
It seems to happen when a new user registers on the vbulletin and it tries to connect to the mysql db, that produces this error to the client in hteir browser:
'Warning: Can't connect to MySQL server on '127.0.0.1' (10061) in c:\phpdev\www\board\admin\db_mysql.php on line 32
There seems to have been a slight problem with the database.
Please try again by pressing the refresh button in your browser.
An E-Mail has been dispatched to our Technical Staff, who you can also contact if the problem persists.
We apologise for any inconvenience.'
Then have to reboot virtualy every time!! :-(
Some times when I drop my firewall this eleviates matters, but not always.
Can anyone help me solve this ??
Also, I'm suspecting my firewall is playing a part in this, so does anyone know what ports need to be open for apache/mysql/ubb to able to run ok??
Any help is appreciated
Thanx
Mors
