autofill address bar
Ok, I'm going to feel dumb when I see how easy this is, but here goes. At work, the address bar on my browser (IE 6) will automatically fill in a previously visited address as I type, so I just need to hit enter. At home, when I type, the previous address appears in the drop down menu below the address bar, but does not auto fill. How can I make the address bar autofill at home as well? (also running IE 6.0)

Goto Tools -> Internet Options.
Select the Content tab. Click the AutoComplete button. Check the "Web addresses" option and click the Ok button. |

Um, it didn't work. Still just the dropdown menu. Any ideas?

That is just how my IE is set up (although I rarely ever use it) and that should do it. Don't know what else I would try other than that.
btw, are you running sp1 IE6? |

Yes. I don't quite get why it doesn't work. On this browser at work, it autocompletes even when I turn off the auto complete web pages option in the options. Oh well, I use mozilla at home more anyway, so its not a big deal. Thanks
