    Where to begin?

    Hey Guys.

I am looking to start programming. I have some current knowledge but not a whole lot. I did start watching and following a course for C# as I want to develop multi platform android apps and iOS apps and games.

Do you guys recommend C#, which someone elsewhere had recommended and do you have an free beginner courses that I could follow?

Thanks in advance guys, I'm looking forward to the day I see my own app in the app stores

C# is good if you want to stick with windows based programming/applications.

However if you want to go cross platform it can be limited and complicated.

Python is a really good language to start with, easy to get the basics but can really build up a good skill set.

C is essential for App development but I think you should start with Java. Also consider C++.

    why is C essential?

What do you mean by 'app development'? that's quite a broad term.

for android you have to use java so you gonna have to watch some tutorials on android studio development.

for iOS apps you have to use objective C.

basically joe, study the tool sets necessary to do whatever you are trying to do.

I don't know where C# fall in to the equation cause neither platform uses it.
