best hardware setup for graphic work
Hey people-
What is your suggestion for a good computer(that is a good value for between $1000 and $2000) for doing average-sized graphic work? I'm shopping around right now and I'd like a Mac but they are pretty expensive compared to similar PC's. Thanks! |

I used to work in the graphic communications industry and the Mac was always the computer of choice for using applications such as pagemaker, photoshop and quark Xpress. In my opinion they offered better color reproduction.
I am not sure about this but I thought I remembered hearing that the Mac used 96 dpi for screen resoliutions instead of the PC's usual 72 dpi. |
