I have GoLive, and I'm looking into CGI scripts and HTML forms to build a forum, and all I can find relates to automatic e-mails. I think what I want is pretty simple, and I know you can get one hosted remotely in exchange for banner space, but I want to make one. So my question is how to have the information input on the forms automaticlly post to the site?

you would need to use Perl or another CGI friendly programming language

Look into useing PHP. I built a UBB look-alike using PHP, backended by a MySQL database, and it was really easy to do. PHP is pretty easy to learn, and its MySQL interface is simple to use.

Finn: that's probably a good idea. For future reference to all, I ended up at http://www.discusware.com/discus/download.html
and that has fairly clear instructions for donloading their script. |
