Angry Can't open secure sites

Every time I try to open a secure site (paypal, check school grades online) I recieve an error message. It says that it cannot find server. I am very computer retarded, so please make any suggestions as easy to read and follow as possible.
Please Help!

Go to your security settings and relax some of them. It sounds like you have them set to high.

A lot of these sites won't let you on unless you enable cookies. Go to tools/nternet options/privacy & set cookies to low. If that doesn't help, then I would agree with the previous post that your security may be set too high. Remember to reset cookies to medium when you leave site as well as your security.

Hope this helps,

forlornjohn

P.S. You might try a test at PC Pitstop just to be on the safe side. You can do a search for it & save URL in favorites.

What has been mentioned above is most likely NOT the problem.

I would say your browser does not support SSL secuirty. Is this Internet Explorer? Go to Help -> About Internet Explorer and then look for Cipher Strength in the window that appears. It should be 128-bit.
