hello
I am an absolutly beginner for cgi or perl scripts.
For a private project I use NewsPro und KTalk2.0 for news. But with WinNT 4.0 SP6a, IIS 4 and ActivePerl V5.6.0 Win32 I get an error when accessing a cgi file through submitting a form.
The error is the well known 500-internal server error with no further explanation. Perhaps the server configuration is wrong.
Could somebody please point me to the right direction ?
I don't know which more information you need to solve the problem

thanks in advance

it is ...
root is followed by cgi-bin...
below cgi-bin is folder comments (save of the comments as html files) and folder news (where the cgi/pl files are located)
cgi-bin and all subdirs have read/write/execute and (for testing) all users have full rights
as well in IIS and NTFS
til now i could not detect the reason for this internal error (this error is so descriptive)

any ideas ?
thanks in advance
