    Coding with notepad/.bat

    hey!
i am assuming that this is not on the list of threads, sorry.
    so heres the problem:
im writing up a rather complicated .bat file using notepad (whatever that language is) and i want it to delete or bypass one section of the script after a 'user' has already been submitted, if you know what i mean?
any help with this would be very much apprecated!

also, just another lttle favour. how would i make it create a file and then, usng 'if', have it make a 'decision' if there is already a file with that name?

and, last thing, can you refer me to a good site that can tell me all sorts of commands and how to use them?

    THANKS!!! all answers appreciated!

p.s. my 'i' key doesnt like me, please excuse spelling mistakes. and yes, im a noob

Maybe one of these pages can help you:

ok... i want it to create a folder, unless the folder already exists. in that case, i want it to skip the process of creating the folder.
i imagine it would start out like...
    Code:
    if newfolder EXIST goto 1
    md newfolder
